In 2002 I took my first picture of
the Split Rock Lighthouse. Over the years I have compiled a large stock
of Lighthouse images. Our book was birthed out of years of chasing the perfect
conditions at the Lighthouse. Our book contains 100 of my favorite images
of the Lighthouse. I have also written a short narrative for each image
explaining the circumstances and conditions behind the image. My good photographer
friend, Doug Ohman, wrote the foreword for our book. The book makes a great
gift and a must have for anyone who has visited the Split Rock Lighthouse.
We have
had a great response from those who have purchased our book. One woman bought
our book last summer at one of our art shows and came back the following day
to inform me that she started reading it just before bed and couldn't put
it down until she finished reading the entire book. Recently our book was
featured on the television show On the Road with Jason Davis. I was dropping
off some books at the Lighthouse when I recognized Jason Davis. I introduced
myself and gave him a free book. He told me they were doing some stories on
the Lighthouse and asked if they could interview me about our book. You can
